INTRODUCTION
Professor Beakley specializes in philosophy of mind, linguistics, and philosophy of science (particularly models of explanation).
Professor Beakley is coeditor of Philosophy of Mind: Classical Problems / Contemporary Issues (MIT Press: 1992; second edition 2006), and translated Jean-François Lyotard's Phenomenology (SUNY Press: 1991).
