RENEW YOUR ON-CAMPUS HOUSING CONTRACT
If you’d like to continue your stay with us on campus and reap the benefits of rewards, proximity, and convenience, check out the recontracting programs below! As a current student, you have the option to live in any of our residence halls, Greek Court, or University Court.
Students living in the residence halls and Greek Court are on a room and board plan, meaning meals are included in the housing and dining contract. Students living in University Court or University Apartments can purchase an optional meal plan.
EARLY BIRD
The earlier you commit, the more benefits you’ll get! Submit the 2026-2027 Early Bird Room & Board Contract and pay the $100 Housing Down Payment between October 7, 2025, and December 1, 2025. Offer good for current on and off-campus Eastern Illinois University students only. If paying by check, make check out to "EIU". Please note that this offer is unavailable to students who want to live in University Court Apartments or University Apartments for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Current first-year and transfer students who have a 2-year Residency Requirement
Sign an Early Bird Contract and pay $100 Housing Down Payment for the 26-27 academic year between October 1 and Dec 1 and get:
- Crewneneck sweatshirt
- Priority Housing
All students who complete the Early Bird contract will be entered into a drawing for FREE Room and Board for the 26-27 academic year valued at approximately $13,000!
Sign an Early Bird Contract AND pay $100 Housing Down Payment for the 26-27 academic year between October 1-31 and get:
- Crew neck sweatshirt
- $200 in Dining Dollars
- Priority Housing
Sign an Early Bird Contract AND pay $100 Housing Down Payment for the 26-27 academic year between November 1-30 and get:
- Crew neck sweatshirt
- $100 in Dining Dollars
- Priority Housing
All students who complete the Early Bird contract by Oct will be entered into a drawing for FREE Room and Board for the 26-27 academic year valued at approximately $13,000!

Regular Recontracting
Regular recontracting opens in February.
- Students must pay the $100 Housing down payment by June 12 regardless of financial aid. If the housing down payment is not received by June 12, the assignment and contract will be canceled.
- Students signing up for Greek Court housing must pay the $100 Housing down payment at the time they sign their contract in order to be counted towards the number of residents in the house.
Payment Options:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit card payments can be made online.
The Cashier's Office will also accept personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, or cash payments in person. Personal checks, cashier's checks, or money orders may be mailed to:

Regardless of the method of payment, the student's E-Number is required at the time of payment. Do not mail cash. Make all checks payable to Eastern Illinois University.
