Doudna Fine Arts Centers Events for Week 9 (10/20/2025 - 10/26/2025)

After a nice fall break Doudna has 2 exciting concerts this week! The Jazz Combos will be performing Thursday 10/23 at 7:30p in Doudna's Theatre and the Eastern Symphony Orchestra will be performing Friday 10/24 at 7:30p in the Dvorak Concert Hall. You can get your tickets online at any time at , over the phone (217) 581-3110 or in person at the box office Tuesday - Friday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Eastern Symphony Orchestra Friday 10/24 @ 7:30p in the Dvorak Concert Hall

The Eastern Symphony Orchestra will be performing works by Beethoven in the Dvorak Concert Hall on Friday 10/24 at 7:30p.

Tickets are $15 for general audiences, $10 for EIU Employees and Seniors (62+), and $5 for EIU Students and Youth (17 and under).

The program will consist of Beethoven's Prometheus Overture, Piano Concerto No. 4 in G, and Symphony No. 9 - The Ode To Joy.

  • The Prometheus Overture will be performed exclusively by the Eastern Symphony Orchestra.
  • The Piano Concerto will feature EIU's Director of Keyboard Division and Instructor of Piano, Sichao Zhang.
  • The 9th Symphony will feature vocal soloists and choral ensembles:

      • Miracle Amah - Soprano
      • Lauren Bolla - Mezzo Soprano
      • Thomas Studebaker - Tenor
      • Peter Volpe - Bass Baritone
    • Choral Ensembles

Percussion Ensemble moved from 10/21 to 12/2

The Percussion Ensemble concert has been moved from Tuesday 10/21 to Tuesday 12/2.
