$1000 EIU Civil Service Council Scholarship -- Deadline is April 30

EIU's Civil Service Council has an annual scholarship for children and grandchildren of EIU non-negotiated employees. Non-negotiated employees are also eligible.

This year’s award is $1,000. The application deadline is April 30, 2021.

Scholarship Criteria:

• Applicant must be a child, grandchild, of a current, former, or retired non-negotiated civil service employee. (Applicant will be responsible for identifying relationship, position and year retired – if applicable.)
• Applicant must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours.
• Applicant must also have a GPA of 2.5 or above and in good academic standing at EIU or a high school senior accepted to EIU and enrolling in a minimum of 6 semester hours with class rank in the top 25 percent.

Financial need of the applicant will be considered and will need to be demonstrated during the application process. Click for additional information and application.
