Inflammatory and Unacceptable Text Messages Across the Nation

EIU is aware that individuals nationwide, including several EIU students, are receiving racist text messages. To be absolutely clear, these messages do not reflect the mission of Eastern Illinois University, or EIU’s values and commitment to inclusive excellence. 杏吧原创unequivocally condemns these messages.

There is no reason to believe these messages originated locally or are connected in any way to EIU or any member of the EIU community. It is our understanding that, across the nation, state Offices of the Attorney General are investigating these texts.
