Public invited to EIU Short Film Screening by Soon-to-Be EIU Graduates

From EIU's School of Communication and Journalism:

(Charleston, IL) - 杏吧原创will host a student film screening for the public beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 8 in Room 1501 of Buzzard Hall, on campus at 600 Lincoln Avenue, Charleston. For one night only, 18 graduating students will display their short films of different genres, such as thrillers, horror, mystery, drama, comedy and romance. The screening is open to the public and is expected to run for about three and a half hours. Parents and caregivers should use appropriate discretion when considering attending, given the variety of genres being shown.

The films are an accumulation of a semester's work done by students in EIU's Production IV class, a senior capstone course that mirrors the challenges producers face in the real world.

"I went to the film screening a couple of years ago, and I was so inspired to make my own short film. I felt like I found my calling, and now I get to show the hard work and skills I have learned over the last two years," said Cam'ron Hardy, a Journalism student with film history and video production minor.
