Outreach and Mental Health Education 

All Health and Counseling Services departments collaborate to meet the outreach needs of the EIU community. Depending on the nature of your request, a presentation may be facilitated by the Counseling Clinic or the Health Education Resource Center . Together, we ensure your group receives relevant, engaging, and appropriate mental health support. We are available to present to faculty and staff, academic classes, and student organizations.

Topics Health and Counseling may cover but are not limited to:

• How to Respond to a Mental Health Crisis
• Understanding the Stepped Care Model
• Stress Management
• Self-Care Strategies
• Managing Anxiety
• Healthy Relationships & Setting Boundaries
• Suicide Prevention & Awareness
• Sleep Hygiene
• Navigating College Transitions & Adjustment
• Other Mental Health Resources

Please submit all presentation or tabling requests well in advance to allow time for scheduling and preparation. We do our best to accommodate all requests, but availability may be limited during peak clinic hours.
